Language notes
When two nouns are put together, there can be two possible interpretations:
1. X and Y
In this case, the 'and' is implied and not written.
For example: 風雨, literally 'wind rain' means 'wind and rain'
2. X (modifying) Y
This means the character X is describing what kind of Y. This happens a lot in English too, as in 'bus stop', 'convenience store', 'water bottle'.
For example: 金山, literally 'gold mountain' means 'Gold mountain' or 'a mountain of gold' or 'golden mountain'.
